Un processo di progettazione urbana

Danilo Palazzo is the director of the School of Planning at the University of Cincinnati. His major fields of interest are urban planning and design. He has worked and conducted research in land use planning, landscape impact assessment and urban design, and has worked as a consultant for both public agencies and private firms. Dr. Palazzo received a MArch from the Politecnico di Milano, and a Ph.D. from the Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia, IUAV. Dr. Palazzo had been a visiting scholar at the School of Planning and Landscape Architecture at Arizona State University and the School of Planning at the University of Cincinnati. He has organized and directed planning workshops in the Czech Republic, Moldavia, Australia, and Italy. He was the program director, with Giovanna Fossa (Politecnico di Milano), Robert Lane, and Robert Pirani (Regional Plan Association) for Transforming the Places of Production, a planning colloquia organized by the Politecnico di Milano and the Regional Plan Association of New York. Dr. Palazzo co-authored, with Frederick Steiner, Urban Ecological Design: A Process for Regenerative Places, and contributed a chapter on “Pedagogical Tradition” to Companion to Urban Design, edited by Tridib Banerjee and Anastasia Loukaitou-Sideris. He also is author of Urban design : un processo per la progettazione urbana, Sulle spalle di Giganti, a history of the roots of American ecological planning, and co-editor, with Maria Cristina Treu, of two Italian editions of The Living Landscape by Frederick Steiner.
